Science Teacher

Calgary Jewish Academy is seeking  a passionate Science teacher who loves enthusiastic students in a private school setting.  This  position will require the individual to teach grades 4-7 Science for the remainder of the 2018-19 school year, effective December 3, 2018 to June 30, 2019. This position could be extended to a continuous contract, dependant on the success, of the chosen individual.  Students at the CJA are intuitive and creative in their thinking and have the opportunity to learn in a dual curriculum program.  Alberta and Judaic Studies.

Calgary Jewish Academy is a unique private school offering a dual curriculum program of Alberta Curriculum and Judaic Studies.  CJA’s program offers a high intensity, fast paced learning environment.  We are looking for an innovative teacher with experience in Science, technology and innovation.

1) have a strong curricular background in Science 
2) will collaborate with other team members
3) compassionate and caring educator​ who inspires critical thinking 
4) previous experience teaching middle school science is recommended
Job Type: Temporary December 3 - June 30, 2019.  


Bachelor's of Science Degree or Elementary Generalist
Education Degree 
Alberta Certified or Eligible for Certification in the Province 
Salary and Compensation based upon experience at Grid Level.
