Position Summary: The Bingo Coordinator is responsible for planning, organizing, and overseeing all aspects of bingo events held to support the fundraising goals of CJA. This role ensures that our Bingo dates are run smoothly, comply with all local gaming regulations, and provide a positive experience for participants. Key Responsibilities: Event Planning & Coordination: Organize and oversee all bingo events, scheduling volunteers and be present at all Best Bingo Association Meetings as the representative from CJA Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all our volunteers follow local gaming and fundraising laws and regulations. Volunteer Management: Communicate with, and manage volunteers to assist with bingo operations (e.g., callers, card sellers, concession staff). Communicate roles and responsibilities clearly to ensure a smooth event. Customer Service: Ensure a welcoming, inclusive, and enjoyable environment for all participants. Address participant questions or concerns during events.
Position Overview: The Calgary Jewish Academy is looking to a hire a highly motivated and qualified individual to teach Grade 5– 6 Alberta Curriculum, as well as additional courses as required for the upcoming school year (2025 – 2026). Consideration will be given to those individuals who: Have experience with Grade 5 – 6 level Language Arts, Social Studies, Math & Science Provide high standards of academics Provide differentiated instruction in a small classroom space for students Qualifications and Experience: Have a Valid Alberta Teaching Certificate – Interim or Permanent Have a Bachelor of Education Degree or experience and equivalent recognized by Alberta Education Teach according to the educational needs, abilities and achievement of the individual students and groups of students (ie. differentiated instruction) Be adaptable and flexible in a supportive learning environment Be committed to working as a team member in a collaborative setting Have strong communication and classroom management skills Be committed to professional development and the vision and mission of the CJA
Position Overview: The Calgary Jewish Academy is seeking Childcare Workers (Teaching Assistants) for the 2025-2025 school year. The ideal candidate will: Ensure safety and overall well-being of all children in care Implement age appropriate developmental activities and circle times that are inclusive and stimulating for all children Carry out routines of the Early Years education program Have a strong understanding of child growth and development Be able to be actively and physically involved in the program Be ready to act in case of an emergency Follow the licensing regulation set out by Province of Alberta Be very nurturing and lovely with all children in care Assist with cleaning and tidying duties Have effective communication skills, both with children and adults REQUIREMENTS: Level 1 Early Childhood Educator at minimum – Province of Alberta Valid First Aid Certificate Vulnerable Sector Clearance/Clear Criminal Record Check (last 6 months) Experience working with children and/or in a preschool/daycare setting (minimum one year an asset) Strong sense of awareness in working with diverse, multicultural and inclusive settings APPLICATION DEADLINE Only successful candidates will be interviewed.
