Tuition & Fees

Tuition at the Calgary Jewish Academy supports an educational experience grounded in strong academics, Jewish learning, and a deep sense of belonging for students from nursery to grade 9.

As an independent school, tuition enables us to offer small class sizes, dedicated teachers, enriched programming, and a learning environment where every student is known and supported. Use the buttons on the right to view current tuition rates and fee information for the 2025-2026 school year.

At CJA, every student benefits from:

  • A dual curriculum in Alberta Education and Judaic Studies
  • Hebrew language learning and cultural immersion
  • Small class sizes and a supportive, relationship-centred environment
  • A school culture rooted in Jewish values and belonging

This is the foundation of the CJA experience — a community where students learn with confidence and grow with connection.

Family Participation

As part of our shared commitment to school life, each family is asked to complete seven volunteer hours between September and June. Parent volunteers help support our hot lunch program, weekly Shabbat, and events throughout the year. Families who are unable to complete the hours will be charged the standard fee outlined in the Tuition & Fee Schedule.

Affordability & Bursary Support

CJA is committed to supporting families in accessing a Jewish education and high-quality early learning. As a religious independent school, we issue charitable tax receipts for the eligible portion of tuition fees each year.

We partner with several programs to ensure support is available where needed. To apply for any bursary program, families must have their child enrolled for the upcoming school year. Our team is here to guide you through each step.

Integrated Bursary Program

CJA partners with the Calgary Jewish Federation’s Integrated Bursary Program (IBP) to help ensure that every Jewish child who seeks a Jewish education can access one. The IBP provides confidential, needs-based support that considers each family’s unique circumstances and reflects our community’s shared commitment to inclusion and belonging.

Parent’s Choice Bursary

CJA is a participating school in the Parent’s Choice Bursary program through the Prosser Charitable Foundation. This bursary provides additional tuition support for families with financial need seeking an independent school education.

Alberta Child Care Affordability Grant

CJA’s licensed Nursery and Junior Kindergarten programs are eligible for the Alberta Child Care Affordability Grant. Eligible families will see a reduction in early-learning program fees, with the amount depending on the program structure and level of enrollment. The reduction is applied directly to your account.

Families may also apply for the Alberta Child Care Subsidy which provides additional income-based support. If your family is approved, please share your Approval Notice with us and we will adjust your fees accordingly.

Tuition Accommodations

To support families, CJA offers several tuition accommodations. In addition to bursary programs and early-learning fee reductions, we provide a large-family discount for the third and subsequent child enrolled in Kindergarten to Grade 9.
